This work explores the female body through the ideas of pressure, provocation, and perception. The body is pressed directly against a scanner, physically flattening and distorting the body while evoking the invisible pressures placed upon women by society. By deliberately embracing the provocative nature of the image, the photograph questions where intimacy ends and objectification begins, and how the female body is perceived, controlled, and consumed through the gaze of others.
